About The Cohort
Some conversations are difficult because they require truth, courage, and care. The Direct and Kind Conversation Framework helps leaders say what needs to be said without avoiding the issue, attacking the person, or escalating the emotion. In this guided framework, you will prepare one important conversation by clarifying the purpose, steadying your emotional state, naming the issue with specific language, preparing ownership questions, and defining the next-step agreement. This framework is especially helpful for leaders who need to give feedback, address a missed expectation, reset a boundary, correct a pattern, or communicate something important without becoming harsh or vague. By the end, you will have a clear opening statement, a few strong questions, and a next-step agreement you can use in a real conversation. Estimated Completion Time 45–75 minutes Recommended Materials Pen Paper or notebook One conversation you have been avoiding or carrying Optional: your completed Clear Expectation Map
